Imagine being the character who gets written for 7 total seasons as the dumbass of the group with little to no actual character development until the last and final season where you get the girl you wanted from the start as her rebound boyfriend and then she dies and you’re stuck mourning her on a farm with the writers acting like you’ve been relevant at all this entire time.
“voltron walked so she-ra could run” no, voltron threw itself down several flights of stairs then got up and threw itself down more stairs then doused itself in gasoline before lighting itself on fire and throwing its burning body down even more flights of stairs.
I’m back at it again with MY THOUGHTS, MY OPINIONS about season 8. I’m going to make them separate because it will get way to long.
Let us start with the first thing that hit us, which was, Lance’s feelings
Let’s begin,
Lance’s feelings.
It starts with Lance being sad and all about not being with Allura.
I’m not going to lie, Lance was super cute with Allura and I clutched my heart with every word he said, because he’s such a good boy. BUT, things don’t add up. In season 7, he literally didn’t pay attention to her at all and was even denying his feelings towards her.
but okay, then we see Lance get courage to take Allura out for diner and they kiss at the end of their date. It was so cute and honestly, Vee el dee should have let them end up together if they were going that route. I mean, they were already a couple, but who am I to judge.
So let’s move to another Strong opinion I have and it’s
Where the F**ck is Lance’s endgame?

No one here, just a pic of him and Allura,
and no one here. okay.
Also, while in the topic of endgames and romance. Yes, I’m going to talk about KLance because wtf. lol
*Cough cough* Oh wait, I’ve seen screenshots like those before.
but okay. They romanticized Klance so hard it honestly was such a huge queer bait. Keith praised Lance, smiled at him more times and was there when Lance was feeling down more than Allura ever did in the whole show. I would have been fine with A//urance if they would have done it right, but they didn’t. They didn’t do A//urance right, and they didn’t do Klance right either. and at the end they left him alone, as an Altean.
Which moving on,
Lance is part Altean, I think
how and why… I have no idea, but it will come in handy for them future fan fics, if you know what I mean dnbksdjb
Next,
Lance’s sword
that’s it, that’s all they showed of it kdfnbkdfnbdnbkven
What a joke.
In my personal opinion, Lance could have grown so much more, he could have made such an impact, but instead they focused him on a girl that only at the last minute did they share a moment. Not to mention, they made Allura look like she needs a man. which, okay then.
I just, Lance deserved more okay. he really did. :((
to clarify, i know shiro gets married to a man he loves and showing a gay kiss is still a step in the right direction you know what that doesn’t change? the fact that their relationship is nonexistent until the last several seconds of the last episode of the last season. this awkward, drastic level of last-minute minimalism is a form of censorship and it’s fucking insane that anyone thinks it’s greedy or unappreciative to ask to see them interacting
it’s good to be happy about that scene. as he’s a major fucking character, it’s also good to think critically about why they didn’t show more
To those who don’t know who Shiro is married to - His name is Curtis, he worked alongside Shiro on the bridge. You’ll see him appear when Shiro asks for him to send out a team to the pyramid. He was actually in the show. Hope that helps whoever is confused. I don’t understand it either.
